"MB Chess Stars": Murad Buildings hosts its first Children's Chess Tournament

On July 25, the private International Talent Academy hosted the "MB Chess Stars" children's chess tournament, organized by Murad Buildings with the support of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation. The tournament brought together 64 young chess players, becoming a true celebration of intellectual sport and another contribution to the development of youth chess in Uzbekistan.

The tournament opened with an official ceremony, where participants were welcomed by the event host, Oybek Nurmukhamedov, CEO of Murad Buildings, and the tournament's Chief Arbiter. In his opening remarks, the CEO emphasized that supporting children's initiatives and creating opportunities for the next generation are an integral part of the company's social responsibility.

"Today, the children are the true stars of this event. It is at this age that character, responsibility, and decision-making skills are shaped. We hope to see more initiatives like this in the future and to make this tournament a lasting tradition," said Oybek Nurmukhamedov.

The tournament featured three rounds of rapid chess, with a 10-minute time control per game. The competition was officiated by a panel of certified arbiters with the support of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation, ensuring fair play and full compliance with tournament regulations.

While the children focused on their games, parents followed the matches through a live broadcast displayed on large screens. Between rounds, participants enjoyed interactive educational activities, while guests were offered a comfortable lounge area and catering. This format successfully combined a competitive sporting atmosphere with family engagement and memorable experiences.

The tournament concluded with an official award ceremony. Rather than ranking participants by traditional first, second, and third places, the organizers chose to celebrate participation, sportsmanship, and each child's individual achievements. Special awards were presented in categories including Best Opening, Fastest Victory, and Fair Play Award. The winners received commemorative gifts from Murad Buildings, and the event concluded with a group photo of all participants, parents, organizers, and partners.

The inaugural "MB Chess Stars" tournament once again demonstrated Murad Buildings' commitment to supporting initiatives that foster children's development, promote intellectual sports, and create an environment where young talents can thrive while learning responsibility, respect for their opponents, and the pursuit of excellence.
