In response to media publications following the “MOVE Real Estate Summit 2026” forum, Murad Buildings considers it necessary to emphasize separately: statements about market transparency were not related to the New Tashkent projects and do not reflect their actual situation.
The question from moderator Denis Sokolov, CEO of CMWP Uzbekistan, concerned the situation in Uzbekistan’s land market as a whole. The response from Murad Buildings’ COO Vyacheslav Krivosheev was systemic in nature and addressed the evolution of the industry rather than evaluating specific government initiatives or territories.
Key thesis of the expert:
“…the market has now become more or less civilized. Not long ago… the market was completely speculative, detached from reality and from the economy.”
This referred to the positive dynamics and maturation of the market over the past year.
Speaking about past difficulties in certain projects, he noted:
“In some cases there were landlords selling land plots at prices that did not fit financial models at all.”
This describes isolated cases from a transitional period, not the characteristics of current mechanisms in New Tashkent.
The role of the state was highlighted separately:
“In fact, there is only one landlord left in Tashkent — the state,”
as well as:
“The state sets an example by showing that investment is necessary… they build infrastructure… and enable companies to build quickly.”
The expert also directly noted the investment potential:
“There is a wide choice of lots in New Tashkent… the site will truly be buzzing over the next five years.”
Murad Buildings’ principled position is transparency in operations:
“…everything must be done transparently,” and a rejection of informal schemes:
“There are certain rules, there are certain commissions.”
Today, the state is forming unified regulations, strengthening the role of профиль commissions, and advancing the digitalization of procedures. These measures are already creating a more predictable environment, as evidenced by project implementation in New Tashkent.
The key message of the speech is recognition of positive market changes and support for transparent rules of engagement. Interpreting individual quotes out of context and linking them to New Tashkent does not correspond to the content of the speech.
Murad Buildings remains open to professional dialogue and believes that market maturity is determined not only by reforms, but also by a responsible attitude toward facts and context.
